Decoration
With Purpose
Weddings, celebrations, and the details that stay with people.
Tavlexu started in 2015 in Leduc, AB, building a practice around one premise: that decoration at a significant event should feel considered, not installed. Every arrangement, fabric choice, and structural element reflects the specific atmosphere a client is after — not a package pulled from a catalogue.
The Person
Behind the Work
Orianne Belfort
Lead Decoration DesignerOver a Decade Spent
Studying Spaces
Orianne has worked across banquet halls, outdoor sites, and private estates throughout Alberta. Her process starts with the venue — understanding ceiling height, lighting conditions, and traffic flow before any aesthetic decisions are made. That spatial logic prevents the common problem of decorations that look ideal in planning but feel off in the actual room.
She is particularly experienced with florals under tension: constructions that hold their shape through hours-long events without wilting or shifting. Her material sourcing connects to suppliers in Edmonton and Calgary, keeping lead times predictable for bookings made 3–8 months out.
What the
Work Looks Like
Each event presents different conditions. A barn wedding in early September reads differently than a hotel ballroom in February — temperature, natural light, and the client's aesthetic all push the design toward different solutions. These images represent a range of that work.
Tavlexu handles installations from initial load-in through final breakdown, so clients are not coordinating between separate vendors for setup and removal. Turnaround on most installations runs 4–6 hours depending on venue complexity and total square footage involved.
How Tavlexu Operates
Three principles shape every project from first call to final breakdown.
Regional Familiarity
Leduc, Beaumont, Nisku, and greater Edmonton-area venues are known quantities. Venue quirks — loading dock access, power outlet placement, ceiling rigging restrictions — are handled without surprises on install day.
Direct Communication
Every brief, revision, and site visit goes through one person. There is no account management layer. Clients speak with the designer who makes the actual decisions and executes the work on the day.
Defined Scope
Tavlexu does not overcommit on bookings. A limited number of events per month ensures each one receives full attention. Clients are informed at inquiry whether the date is realistically available.
